I just found this on Amazon.com, but it is being sold by one of their "Amazon.com Stores".  I suspect it is a close-out, because the price is so good.  The Bosch 1587AVSK top handled jig saw kit is on sale for $135.95.  ( Click Here to See the Amazon.com Listing )

The Bosch 1587AVSK

I bought one for my son-in-law's birthday.  I have this model and love it, especially since my old jig saws were the inexpensive ones by Craftsman and Black and Decker that vibrated more than they sawed.  I think I paid $160 for mine a while back.  Its a great jigsaw.

Bosch has a new model out, so I think this one is being discontinued.  The new one is the Bosch 1590EVSK on sale at $165, but I don't know if that's the "regular discounted price" or not.  It looks to have an updated look, but I don't know if the functionality has improved or not.  Anyone have one of these?

The newer Bosch 1590EVSK - what's the difference?   Click Here to See the Amazon.com Listing

Looks like the price is fluctuating, so check your local stores too if you are in a market for these.  I actually got mine for $109 plus shipping and handling, so it was $125 total.  Now its up to $137.

The difference between the two, I'm told, is in the blade handling.  Evidently the newer jig saws have a quick release blade change (must be that sliding thing on the front).  On the older one, you lift up the black piece at the top and turn it 3 - 4 turns to loosen the blade shank.  For a few bucks, the easier blade handling is probably worth it, but with the way the prices have risen over the initial $109 last week, I'd wait to see if they drop again.
